Middle East Excellence Awards Institute today announced the, 2nd Middle East Municipalities and Towns Development Excellence Awards to be held on the 26th June 2012, in Dubai, UAE. The award will honor exceptional municipalities and its officials who have brought recognition to their respective constituency, community, country and region.

These prestigious awards will felicitate those municipalities who do not only excel in their chosen fields locally but also prove they are globally competitive and a critical link between communities. It will acknowledge their achievements of outstanding local governance in the municipality through modernized facilities and sustainable, comprehensive and integrated development programs for the entire community, leading the local government into excellence.

Speaking about the importance of the event, Mr. Ali Al Kamali, Managing Director, Middle East Excellence Awards Institute, said, "Municipal authorities have a decisive influence on local commerce and other organizations, mobilizing a driving force behind development and adaptation.
